Usually the initial prenatal examination is an opportunity for a checkup, especially for women who do not undergo regular preventive screening. The gynaecologist will determine which additional tests will be needed (e.g. whether colposcopy or an HPV test is necessary).<\/p>\n<p>The Pap test procedure poses no risk for pregnancy.
