When and how are warts removed?

There are cases where the doctor prefers to remove a warty lesion because he would like to examine it under the microscope. This is sometimes the case with warty lesions on the cervix and vulva.

When we have small, isolated warts which do not have a broad base, it is easier to remove them under local anesthesia. Healing is fast and there will be a very good cosmetic result.

Warts may be removed with surgical scissors, scalpel or biopsy forceps.
