After you get the results of your Pap test, you may see the following results:
- Normal cells
- Inflammatory lesions from causes other than HPV (chlamydia, etc.) or atrophic lesions
- Cells with infection from HPV (LSIL category)
- Cells with precancerous lesions (HSIL category) or cells suspect for cancer of the squamous or glandular epithelium
- Cells with lesions that cannot be assessed with precision (ASCUS category)
